Loss to Hot Chickens Extends Vermont Losing Streak
|
Nashville got a first-rate effort from pitcher Wayne King, who frustrated Vermont hitters en route to a 2-1 Hot Chickens triumph at Monster Field. Nashville has now won 3 straight, while the Lake Monsters have lost 6 in a row.
Michael Boyd had a direct impact on the outcome. Boyd contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fifth inning to put Nashville up, 2-0.
"Runs were at a premium," said Nashville manager Ward Wilberfoss.
