In a well-pitched game between the Jersey City Tritons and the Austin Black Mambas, pitcher Damien Schmitt was fantastic. The Jersey City right-hander helped his team secure the win, 3-0. Picking up the save was Nathan May, his 3rd. Austin now has a 6-game losing streak.

Early in the game, left fielder Clifton Roberson had a 2-run home run for Jersey City. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Tritons on top, 2-0.

Schmitt said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
