Rocks Get One-Run Win at Hamilton
The Plymouth Rocks bested the Hamilton Thunderbirds, 5-4, at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. Orlando Ramírez was one of the standouts. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. Howard Clark was the winner. He's now 3-1. The loser was 32-year old right-handed pitcher Bernardo Rivera. Marvin Justice earned the save, his 3rd.

Plymouth used a well-timed hit by Porter Howell to capture the win. The left fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the first inning to put the Rocks ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

Plymouth manager Gerald Clark called it "a darn good win."

The loss makes Hamilton 36-63.
