Torres Hits 2 home runs in Disaster Win
|
The 6-2 Port Royal win over Florida was due in large part to José Torres. The Disaster designated hitter was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Dave McCormick finished to wrap up his 3rd save. The Disaster are now 46-53, while the Men fall to 45-54.
Torres contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Port Royal in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Torres took a fastball from Rory May and stroked the home run to right-center. His 10th home run of the season allowed the Disaster to leap in front, 3-1.
Port Royal manager praised his team's "businesslike approach."
