Dodos Earn 4-3 Win Versus Hot Chickens
|
The Hialeah Dodos picked up a win at Hot Chickens Park, taking down the Nashville Hot Chickens, 4-3, in 10 innings. On the mound for Hialeah was right-hander Ryan Cross. He played a central role in the triumph. Carl van Bekenes closed the game out for Hialeah, earning his 21st save. The Dodos, at 44-58, have now won 6 straight.
Hialeah won the game in part because of Germán García. The left fielder ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Dodos ahead, 4-3. For the game, García had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"We had a chance to win," said Nashville manager Paul Dawsey, "but we didn't get it done."
