White Walkers Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Buffalo White Walkers snuck past the Boston Patriots, 4-3, in 19 innings. Buffalo pitcher Claude Richardson, in particular, had a standout performance. Buffalo reliever Kyle Collins picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Juan Sánchez took the loss. The second-place White Walkers sport a record of 29-16.
Batting in the bottom of the 19th, 11-year veteran Eduardo Lucciardi had a real shot to win the game. Boston pitcher Juan Sánchez was determined not to let it happen. But with one out, Lucciardi hit a run-scoring single. The White Walkers had a walk-off triumph.
"Both teams played hard," said Buffalo manager Chris Lau.
