Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Montreal Machine and Norfolk Pajaritos.
Montreal Machine starter Lance Leslie pitched a strong game against the Norfolk Pajaritos at Norfolk Field, leading the Machine to victory, 5-1. The 8th-place Machine go to 32-39.
Montreal used a clutch at-bat from Ben Lewis to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Machine ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Lewis.
