A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Calgary Lynx and Port Huron Blitzkrieg.

Calgary right fielder Rodrigo Rodríguez played a vital role in his team's 7-2 conquest of Port Huron. He was 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Calgary. Ashley Remington got the win, improving to 8-7. He held the Blitzkrieg to 1 run on 4 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 3. Ernie Jones closed the game out for Calgary, earning his 9th save.

Calgary used the bat of Cleaver Greene to get the win. The catcher spanked a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Lynx ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it altered the outcome.

Said losing manager Steve Ferguson: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
