Rainbeaus Use Late Score to Top Squirrel Monkeys, 3-2

Crowds lined up early in front of The Zoo in Syracuse, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2061 USSL Triple A season. On the mound was P.J. O'Day for the visiting Kansas Rainbeaus and Alfredo Pérez for the hometown Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys. In a spirited contest, the Rainbeaus pulled out the win, defeating the Squirrel Monkeys by the score of 3-2. Especially impressive was Alfredo Pérez.
Víctor Rivas had a direct impact on the outcome. Rivas contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the ninth inning to put Kansas up, 3-2.
Rivas said his team "played with focus."
