Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Tortolita Drummers home opener. Walt Cardosa started for the home team against Max Payne for the Calgary Lynx. The Drummers were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 5-2, Calgary. Phil Maddox, though, was impressive. The save went to Ryan McDaniel, his 1st this season.

Seung-mo Yong helped out the Calgary cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the third baseman went 2-4 with 2 singles.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Yong.
