Monsters Rally Late to Clip Hartford
Crowds lined up early in front of Timber Hawks Ballpark, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2062 USSL Triple A season. On the mound was Jeffrey Dixon for the visiting Hartford Pride and Lee Wood for the hometown Monongahela Monsters. In a spirited contest, the Monsters pulled out the win, defeating the Pride by the score of 4-3. Especially impressive was Jeffrey Dixon. Monongahela reliever Héctor González got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Jeffrey Dixon was tagged with the loss.

Monongahela got a clutch hit from Ken Ball. The first baseman launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Ball said.
