The Tortolita Drummers got a superb performance from pitcher Cliff Scarlett, but the Calgary Lynx still won the game, 1-0. Scarlett threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Getting the save was Luis Tobías, his 1st. Calgary has a record of 2-0.

The Drummers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Lynx going into the top of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 31-year old left fielder Sang-Seung Yang came to the plate. Yang hit a solo home run on a 1-0 curveball from Tortolita hurler Cliff Scarlett. It was Yang's 1st home run of the year.
