The Tortolita Drummers beat the Syracuse Starks, 10-3, at Drummers Ballpark. Chet McFadden, in particular, was impressive. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Syracuse is 0-4 after the defeat.

Dave Cahill had a big 2-run double for the Drummers in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Tortolita trailing 3-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 28-year old left-handed pitcher Vincent Jones and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Drummers ahead, 4-3.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Cahill told the Tortolita Observer.
