Drummers Rally to Nose Past Syracuse
The Tortolita Drummers defeated the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys, 4-3, in 10 innings in USSL Triple A action at Drummers Ballpark. Tortolita pitcher Larry Bryant had a standout performance. With the win, Tortolita improves its record to 3-2.

Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 23-year old left fielder Joe Bunte had a chance to be the hero. Syracuse pitcher James Tucker wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Bunte hit a sacrifice fly. The Drummers had themselves a thrilling win.

"Larry -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Drummers manager Marcos Costa. "He was the key to us winning."
