Mamba Park was the site for USSL Triple A action featuring the Austin Black Mambas and Calgary Lynx.
Calgary turned a good effort from starter Mac Walker into a win over the Austin Black Mambas at Mamba Park. The final score was 5-2. Walker, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 1 run.
Calgary used a well-timed hit by Seung-mo Yong to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Lynx ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"We're rolling right now," said Walker. "We're playing good baseball."
The win gives Calgary a record of 5-0.
