Riding the 3-hit performance of the 25-year old first baseman Clint Ellison, the Sioux Falls Red Pandas stopped the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 5-0. Robert Cote got the win, improving to 1-1. He held the Blitzkrieg to no runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 4. Sioux Falls is now 2-4.

In the top of the fourth, Sioux Falls third baseman Tim Robinson whacked a fastball to right for a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Red Pandas in front, 2-0.
