Rocks Topple Golden Cranes, 6-3, as Takeuchi Shines
The Plymouth Rocks extended their winning streak.

The Plymouth Rocks topped the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 6-3, with first baseman Yoshihito Takeuchi playing a big role. Takeuchi went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Rocks in the win. The Rocks, now 6-0, have stormed out of the gates.

Takeuchi had a big hit for Plymouth with one out in the top of the fifth. With Plymouth leading 1-0, Takeuchi hit a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Rocks up, 3-0.

Takeuchi attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
