The home crowd had a good time watching the Port Huron Blitzkrieg and Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys get after it.

The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys got a marvelous performance from pitcher Mark Hodge. The left-hander kept the Port Huron offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 5-2 Syracuse victory at The Zoo in Syracuse. Port Huron is 3-5 after the loss.

Diego Guzmán had a big 2-run double for the Squirrel Monkeys in the bottom of the first inning. With Syracuse leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from former first round draft pick Gustavo Rivera and swatted a double to center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Squirrel Monkeys ahead, 4-0.

Guzmán called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
