Hot Chickens Lose By a Run at Philadelphia
|
Led by Carlos Martínez, the Philadelphia Liberty Reserves defeated the Nashville Hot Chickens, 4-3. Martínez was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Liberty Reserves. Bill Carson picked up the save for Philadelphia, his 3rd of the year. With the loss, Nashville sinks to 3-5.
Early in the game, Martínez had a 2-run home run for Philadelphia. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Liberty Reserves on top, 3-1.
"It was a good effort all around," said Martínez.
