Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Alaskan Humpbacks got the win.

The Alaskan Humpbacks knocked off the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 4-3, in USSL Triple A action at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Alaskan pitcher and Oranjestad, Netherlands Antilles, native Ton van Aerden had an outstanding performance. Alaskan sits at 8-4.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Jerry Downey? The 24-year old right fielder Downey stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put Alaskan up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.

"We did a lot of things right," said van Aerden.
