Philadelphia Makes It 8 Straight with 6-4 Win
The Philadelphia Liberty Reserves topped the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 6-4, with center fielder Juan Morales playing a big role. Morales was 1 for 2 with 3 walks. He scored 3 times for the Liberty Reserves in the win. Philadelphia pitcher Fred Briggs earned the win, hiking his record to 1-0. Andrés Chávez suffered the loss. Early on, the Liberty Reserves, at 10-3, have excelled.

Morales broke a deadlock in the bottom of the eighth inning, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, putting Philadelphia up, 5-4.

"The vibe's good," said Philadelphia manager Kiril Neuvel. "We've got to keep it going."
