Calgary Lynx starter Jeff Benson was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Norfolk Pajaritos, 4-1. Richard Case earned the save for Calgary, his 2nd of the year. The loss drops Norfolk to 8-6.

Calgary used a well-timed hit by Kevin Morris to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Lynx ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Calgary skipper Steve Duncan.
