The Sioux Falls Red Pandas defeated the Syracuse Starks, 7-3, at The Bamboo Forest. Greg Kirkwood, who is tied for 4th in the SAAA in stolen bases with 2, was a standout performer for Sioux Falls. His 3 hits included 1 single and 2 doubles -- this in addition to the 1 run he scored and 3 he knocked in. Sioux Falls pitcher Jorge Pares earned the win, hiking his record to 2-2. James Ellison suffered the loss. Pepe Aguilar earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.

Sioux Falls took the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Kirkwood hit a run-scoring double. His 6th double of the season made the score 3-2, Sioux Falls.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Kirkwood, "and then get after it again."

The win puts Sioux Falls at 9-6.
