Bailey goes 3-for-4 to Power Drummers Offense
|
The Tortolita Drummers cut down the Monongahela Monsters by the score of 8-3, with the largest share of the credit going to catcher Peter Bailey. Bailey went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Drummers. Keizo Baba snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Xavier Martínez suffered the loss. Tortolita, at 12-4, is off to a blistering start.
In the bottom of the sixth, the Drummers grabbed the lead when Bailey hit his 2nd home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Xavier Martínez made it 6-2, Tortolita.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Bailey told the Tortolita Chronicle.
