Black Mambas Suffer One-Run Loss at Norfolk
|
Norfolk Pajaritos starter Jorge Deleón pitched his team past the Austin Black Mambas, 1-0. Deleón got the win, improving to 3-0. He gave up 3 hits and walked 4 over 6.2 innings. He allowed no runs. For the Black Mambas, the loss makes their record 6-11.
The Pajaritos got a big at-bat from first baseman Ofa Paulo. For the game, Paulo was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Norfolk a 1-0 lead.
"Jorge is good at sticking to his strengths," said Norfolk manager Phil Baker.
