The Norfolk Pajaritos picked up a win at Coyote Wildlife Refuge, knocking off the Hamilton Thunderbirds, 5-2. On the mound for Norfolk was left-hander Walt Middleton, who played a pivotal role in the win. Hamilton is 8-10 after the defeat.

It could have been a different outcome for Norfolk, had it not been for Richard Howell, the 28-year old right fielder . Howell contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Norfolk up, 2-0.

"Walt is still learning," said Pajaritos manager Phil Baker. "The sky's the limit for him."
