The Calgary Lynx defeated the Tortolita Drummers, 9-4. Second Baseman Tim Raines deserved a large share of the credit. Raines was 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double. He scored 4 runs and drove in 3 for the Lynx. The Lynx, now 13-6, have played some good baseball in the early going.

Calgary used the clutch hitting of Matt George to capture the win. The catcher drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Lynx the lead, 8-3. For the game, George had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"I like our moxie," said Lynx manager Steve Duncan.
