5-2 Loss Extends Athletic Club KC Losing Streak
Santa Barbara right-hander Don Beales pitched his team to victory over the Athletic Club KC Reserves at Crane Field. The final score was 5-2. Dave Bass collected his 9th save. The loss drops Athletic Club KC to 7-13.

The Reserves had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Golden Cranes going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old third baseman Jeremy Gutiérrez came to the plate. Gutiérrez hit a run-scoring double on a 1-0 cutter from Athletic Club KC hurler Richie Lems. It was Gutiérrez's 2nd double of the year.

"Different night, same tune, unfortunately," said losing manager Kiril Neuvel.
