|
In a tight contest between the Austin Black Mambas and the Syracuse Starks, Carlos Sandoval was the determining factor. The Austin right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-0 win. Norman Davis closed the game out for Austin, earning his 2nd save. The triumph makes Austin 6-15.
Sandoval dominated for Austin, raising his record to 2-3. Syracuse hitters had few good at-bats against the right-hander, who scattered 3 hits over 8 innings while striking out 1.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Austin manager Luis Vicenteno said.
