The Plymouth Rocks took on the Alaskan Humpbacks at Sea World.

The Plymouth Rocks topped the Alaskan Humpbacks, 8-5, with first baseman Yoshihito Takeuchi playing a big role. Takeuchi went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Rocks in the win. The winning pitcher was B.J. McLean. He's now 1-2. He went 6.1 innings, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits for the Rocks.

The Rocks got a lift from designated hitter José Gamboa, who in the top of the fifth stroked a 2-1 knuckle curve to right for a run-scoring single. It was his 17th hit of the season and put the Rocks ahead, 4-3.

"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Rocks," said Takeuchi.

With the win, the Rocks have a record of 14-7.
