The Calgary Lynx picked up a win at Lynx Stadium, knocking off the Monongahela Monsters, 5-2. Starting pitcher Eddy Poole played a key role in the triumph. In 6.2 innings, Poole surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. Richard Albright picked up his 1st save of the season.

Willie Graham had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Lynx. Coming up with the bases loaded and Calgary trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.
