The Red Pandas faced a stiff challenge from Austin pitcher Alejandro Paboal, but persevered to claim a win at The Bamboo Forest. The final score was 2-1. Paboal went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. The win gives Sioux Falls a season record of 11-11.

Sioux Falls took control in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and a runner on 3rd, Joahan Urdiales hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Red Pandas.

Urdiales told a Sioux Falls Daily News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
