Golden Cranes Fall Short, 5-4, at Kansas
The Kansas Rainbeaus did just enough to sneak past the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 5-4, at Wichita Field. Kansas pitcher Aaron Gary, in particular, had a standout performance. Seppo Seppänen finished the game for Kansas and earned his 7th save. The win puts Kansas at 11-11 this season.

Nathan Dooley, who is tied for 6th in the SAAA in triples with 1, chipped in a 3-run home run for Kansas in the bottom of the third. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
