Plymouth Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Plymouth Rocks took Nashville pitcher John McGrath's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Plymouth Quarry. The final score had Plymouth getting past the Hot Chickens, 4-3. McGrath went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 6. Jon Turner claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.2 innings. His record stands at 1-0. The second-place Rocks now have a win-loss record of 15-8.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Plymouth left fielder Baltwin Davids, facing Norberto Dávila, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Rocks the 4-3 win.

Plymouth manager Gerald Clark was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
