In a low-scoring affair between the Calgary Lynx and the Kansas Rainbeaus, pitcher Conner Dixon was the difference between victory and defeat. The Calgary left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Lynx win. Richard Albright was credited with the save for Calgary, his 1st of the season. Calgary is now 16-8, Kansas 16-8.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Lynx had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when third baseman Tim Raines hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Carter King and made the score 3-0, Lynx. Raines went 2-4 with 2 singles.

"Conner gave us a heck of an effort," said Calgary manager Steve Duncan.
