The Florence Flamingos topped the Philadelphia Liberty Reserves, 4-1, in USSL Triple A action at Liberty Reserve Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Florence pitcher Roosevelt Maynard. The win gives the Flamingos a record of 8-17.

With two out in the top of the fifth, Bruce Ayers put Florence in front, 2-0, with a run-scoring single. The Flamingos went on to win the ballgame.

Florence manager Nick Hoskins commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
