Jersey City Sent Home with 4-1 Loss
|
Michael MacGregor, who is tied for 2nd in the SAAA in quality starts with 5, never let the Tritons get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his splitter, to pitch the Red Pandas to a win, 4-1. The winning pitcher was MacGregor, now 3-0. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. Orlando Bermúdez earned the save for Sioux Falls, his 7th of the year.
Early in the game, first baseman Thomas Inge had a run-scoring double for Sioux Falls. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Red Pandas on top, 1-0.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Inge said after the game.
The Red Pandas improved their record to 14-13 by beating Jersey City.
