Getting an impressive start from Bob Bradley, Kansas beat Hartford by the score of 5-2. Bradley yielded 1 run over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 4-1. Gordon Taylor notched his 2nd save of the season.

In the top of the eighth, Scooter Fisher stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Pride were trailing 5-2, but had the bases loaded. That's when Lambert Fierant made a terrific pitch and Fisher struck out. Gone was the dream of a Hartford comeback.
