Athletic Club KC Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
Reserves fans were sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.

Norfolk first baseman Gale Boetticher had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 8-7, to Athletic Club KC at KC Reserve Stadium. Boetticher went 3 for 3 with a triple, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Athletic Club KC reliever Millard Cowan picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Walt Middleton was saddled with the loss.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Athletic Club KC designated hitter Pineki Walekino, facing Walt Middleton, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Reserves the 8-7 win.

"This place was rockin'," said Walekino.

Athletic Club KC bumps their record to 12-16 with the win.
