The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes had to overcome a fine effort from Sioux Falls pitcher Benoît Lambert to win, 2-1, at The Bamboo Forest. Lambert went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Miguel Hernández was called on to finish, recording his 1st save. Santa Barbara is now 15-14.

Santa Barbara used the timely hitting of Weiner Blau to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Golden Cranes on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Blau.
