Red Pandas Score Late, Top Starks, 5-3

Sioux Falls left fielder Tony Flores was instrumental in helping the Red Pandas triumph, 5-3, over the Syracuse Starks. Flores went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Aukthya Shalabh closed it out for his 2nd save. Sioux Falls bumps their record to 15-15 with the win.
Flores had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-2 sinker from Yuk Yan, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Red Pandas a 5-3 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Flores.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Flores told the Sioux Falls Daily News.
