Dogfish Head Beat Fighting Dachshunds, 6-3
|
The Milton Dogfish Head dealt the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds a 6-3 loss at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Cristóbal Calzacorta, who is tied for 5th in the SAAA in stolen bases with 5, was the star on offense. He was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Henry Tucker got credit for the save for Milton. It was his 5th of the year. The 5th-place Dogfish Head now have a record of 15-15.
Calzacorta contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Milton in the top of the second. With his team trailing 2-0, Calzacorta took a curveball from Holden Roberts and stroked the home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Dogfish Head to leap in front, 3-2.
"Things didn't bounce our way," said Ellenburg skipper Pedro Rodríguez.
