Flowers goes 4-for-5, Leads Drummers to Win
The Tortolita Drummers defeated the Nashville Hot Chickens, 13-6, in part because of first baseman Carl Flowers. Flowers went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 5 RBI for the Drummers. Tortolita reliever Gustavo Villa got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Takakazu Ishihara was tagged with the loss. The save was credited to Marc Potts, his 2nd.

Tortolita left fielder David Robinson helped the cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the third. For the game, Robinson went 1 for 5, while adding 2 RBI.

"We're our own worst enemy right now," said Nashville skipper Paul Dawsey.

The Hot Chickens, now 11-19, have lost 10 in a row.
