The Philadelphia Liberty Reserves topped the Milton Dogfish Head, 1-0, in USSL Triple A action at Liberty Reserve Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Philadelphia pitcher and Los Angeles, California, native Bobby Johnson. Johnson picked up the win for Philadelphia, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 4-3.

The Liberty Reserves got a big at-bat from left fielder Chi Chi Rodríguez. For the game, Rodríguez went 1 for 4 with a home run. In the bottom of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Philadelphia a 1-0 lead.
