Monsters, Martin Pin Bad Loss on Squirrel Monkeys
The Monongahela Monsters buried the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys, 14-2, under a barrage of hits. Anthony Martin led the onslaught, going 4-for-5 for Monongahela. The winning pitcher was 29-year old right-handed pitcher Cisco Navarro. He tossed 101 pitches over 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits. Syracuse has now lost 5 straight.

Martin put Monongahela up, 13-2, when he hit a grand slam home run off Rizhean Bonrostro in the bottom of the eighth. His 3rd home run of the season helped the Monsters capture the win.
