Leonard Leads Liberty Reserves to 5-2 Win Over Dogfish Head
|
The Philadelphia Liberty Reserves defeated the Milton Dogfish Head by the score of 5-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to shortstop Sean Leonard. Leonard was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Liberty Reserves on the day. Patrick Davis earned his 4th save, after closing out the game. The win makes Philadelphia 14-18.
Leonard contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Philadelphia in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Leonard took a fastball from Juan Ramírez and stroked the home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Liberty Reserves to leap in front, 4-2.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Leonard told the Philadelphia Citizen.
