Black Mambas Deal Liberty Reserves 4-2 Loss
|
The Austin Black Mambas faced a tough opponent in Philadelphia pitcher Manuel Juárez, but still scratched out a win at Liberty Reserve Stadium by a final score of 4-2 in 11 innings. Juárez went 7 innings and allowed no runs. With the victory, the Black Mambas upped their record to 20-14.
Austin used a clutch hit from Caden White to get the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Black Mambas ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Austin skipper Perry Bothof. "I can't complain."
