Liberty Reserves Suffer 4-2 Setback
|
The Austin Black Mambas topped the Philadelphia Liberty Reserves, 4-2, in USSL Triple A action at Liberty Reserve Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Austin pitcher Jonathan Rasmussen. The third-place Black Mambas are 21-14.
Austin won the game in part because of Pancho Conaso. The center fielder ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Black Mambas ahead, 4-2. For the game, Conaso had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Conaso told the Austin Times. "Whatever it takes."
