Red Pandas Fall Short at Tortolita, 2-1
The Tortolita Drummers topped the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 2-1, in USSL Triple A action at Drummers Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Tortolita pitcher Norman Ayres. The Tortolita win streak is now 3 games.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 1-1, 27-year old right fielder Carl Gaston won it for Tortolita. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Gaston hit a 1-0 fastball from Curtis Hall for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 2-1 win.

"I like what I saw today," said Tortolita manager Marcos Costa, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
