Due in large part to left fielder Gerardo Carranza, the Milton Dogfish Head sunk the Nashville Hot Chickens, 8-7. Carranza went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Milton reliever Henry Tucker was the winner. His record is now 2-3. Fred Hardy took the loss. Milton now has a record of 19-19 with the win.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Milton first baseman Mitchell Hogg, facing Fred Hardy, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Dogfish Head the 8-7 win.

"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Milton skipper Austin Case.
