|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Kansas Rainbeaus and Hartford Pride.
The Kansas Rainbeaus topped the Hartford Pride, 4-2, in USSL Triple A action at Pride Park. The standout performance belonged to Kansas pitcher and Lubbock, Texas, native Milo Clark. Clark yielded 2 runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 2. His record improves to 2-0. David Thornton nailed down his 12th save.
Alberto López came through for Kansas when he hit a 2-run single in the top of the fourth. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a two-strike fastball to left field, staking his team to a 3-1 lead.
Said losing manager Tim Fowler: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."
Kansas sits in 4th place in the Silver AAA at 23-16.
